- `POST /api/v1/auth/setup` bootstrap endpoint: creates the first admin user when the users table is empty, enabling first-run setup in Docker without shell access to the container volume. Returns 403 once any user exists.
- `install.sh`: interactive CLI wizard (7 steps) guiding users from a blank server to a running Oikos instance — prerequisites check, domain/port/timezone config, auto-generated or manual security secrets, optional weather and calendar integrations, Docker startup with health polling, and admin account creation. Supports `--env-file` for non-interactive/CI deployments.
- Web installer (`tools/installer/`): browser-based setup wizard served by a zero-dependency Node.js server on `localhost:8090`. Covers the same steps as the CLI installer through a single-file SPA. Auto-terminates after successful setup or 30 minutes of inactivity.
